Personal Information

AFRIPIK collects and stores personal information that you provide at the time you register for an AFRIPIK account, including your username, password, name, address, email address, phone number, and any other information requested from you at the time of registration.

IP Addresses, Cookies, and Log Files

When you visit the Sites, AFRIPIK may collect certain information automatically as part of the Site’s operation, such as your internet protocol (“IP”) addresses for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes. (Your IP address indicates the location of your computer on the internet. It is not necessarily a unique personal identifier.) The Sites do not generally link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable.

Additionally, AFRIPIK uses “cookies,” which are a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user. AFRIPIK collects and stores certain information about how you access and navigate the Sites, such as the pages you view, the links you click, the times at which you access and that you spend on the Sites, your geolocation, the device you use to access the Sites. AFRIPIK may combine your personal information and/or IP address with navigational information. AFRIPIK does not otherwise track or collect your personal information across third-party sites when you exit the Sites.

AFRIPIK may collect, use, and store the foregoing information directly or contract with third-party vendors who provide AFRIPIK with data collection and reporting services in connection with the Sites. When you visit the Sites, our third-party vendors may use cookies on our behalf and may receive information about your browsing activity on the Sites. You may “opt-out” altogether from providing personally identifying information to us by not registering as a user of the Sites at the registration page and thereby not providing personal information. You may also choose at a later date to have your name removed from our database by deleting your registration profile. Certain portions of the Sites and certain services provided on the Sites, however, do require registration to access or use these areas and services. If you choose not to register or provide the requested information in connection with registering for anAFRIPIK account, areas requiring registration will not be accessible to you.

You can correct, update, or delete inaccuracies in information about you by making changes toyour AFRIPIK account profile. We may not be able to delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account, and we may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

What do the Sites do with the information they gather and/or track?

Facilitate Transactions

AFRIPIK uses your information to facilitate transactions and to provide our users with our products and services. This includes using your information to process orders and invoices, to allow you to upload or download images, to maintain and update your AFRIPIK account, and to contact you in response to inquiries or messages from you.

Legal compliance

AFRIPIK may also use, share, or disclose your information, as necessary, to comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request; to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions, content license agreements, contributor agreements, or other agreements existing between us, including for billing and collection purposes; and if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of AFRIPIK, our customers, or others, including exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of monitoring copyright infringement, fraud protection, and credit risk reduction.

AFRIPIK and its agents may perform statistical analyses of user behavior on the Sites to analyze trends and measure interest in the various areas of the Sites (for product development purposes, as well as for internal management purposes).

Using the e-mail addresses provided when you register as a user of the Sites, the Sites periodically may send you information about the Sites or AFRIPIK’s services. AFRIPIK also may contact you regarding account status; changes to this Privacy Policy, the Site’s Terms and Conditions, and/or other user agreements; and to confirm registration. With whom do the Sites share the information they gather and/or track?

AFRIPIK shares the information it gathers, in aggregate form, with advertisers and other partners. AFRIPIK generally does not release personal information about you as an individual to third parties. AFRIPIK may share information about you, including personally identifying information, if sought by legal process or requested by law enforcement, to protect the rights and property of AFRIPIK or the safety of our users or the public, or to protect against unauthorized use of our site. How long do the Sites retain user information?

AFRIPIK retains your information as long as you maintain an account with AFRIPIK or as needed to provide you with our services and products. If you wish to cancel your AFRIPIK account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, contact us at exploreafripik@gmail.com. If you choose to terminate your account with AFRIPIK, we will retain and use information about you only as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

How do the Sites protect their content and user information?

AFRIPIK and its agents take commercially reasonable precautions to protect our users’ information. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place commercially reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to protect the information we collect online. Are the services of the Sites available to minors?
